My First Solo Trip — on the Other Side of the Earth 🌎

ICRA 2025 was my first solo trip abroad. It took me all the way to the other side of the Earth, roughly 24 hours of flying from Hong Kong to Atlanta. It turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of my academic journey. I was delighted to present my research in computer vision and robot manipulation, and even more grateful for the people I met along the way. As a small research potato🥔 in a big field, I was carried by so much guidance, support, and encouragement, which left me genuinely touched and warm. 🥰

It was also an honor to serve as a Social Media Ambassador for ICRA 2025, connecting with fellow researchers, industry professionals, and robotics enthusiasts, and contributing in my own small way to the future of the field. 🤖✨

To everyone I met: thank you. I hope our paths cross again at future conferences.
